FAQs

It would be great to have you on board! We currently have need for administration volunteers (based in our London office), and we use volunteers who have experienced cancer themselves to lead our Cancer Coach Telephone Support Groups). Click here to find out more about our opportunities, or phone Lily in our London office on 020 7470 8755

Donations and gifts make up 100% of our income, so any donation made is vital to keeping our services running.

We use all donations where the need is greatest, but if you would like your donation to be used for a specific programme, please let us know when you donate.

Of course. Donating in memory of a loved one is a wonderful way to both celebrate their life and help us to continue our work supporting people with cancer. If you would like to donate in memory of a loved one, please include their name and yours so we can say thank you. We use all donations where the need is greatest, but if you would like your donation to be used for a specific programme, then please let us know.

That’s brilliant that you want to fundraise for us! Whether you want to hold a bake sale or run a marathon, we would love to hear from you. You can contact us in our London office on 020 7470 8755 if you need any assistance.

Gift Aid makes your donations go further. If you are donating as a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid increases the value of your charity donations by 25% because we can reclaim the basic rate of tax on your donation at no extra cost to you.

Leaving a gift in your will is a wonderful way to ensure we can continue supporting people with cancer. You will need to ensure that you include our full charity information when leaving a gift in your will [below]. A solicitor can help you to make changes to your will, it is advised that you do not attempt to do it manually yourself, as this can render your existing will invalid if done incorrectly. We use all gifts where the need is greatest, but if you would like your gift to be used for a specific programme, then please let us know.

If you would like to stop receiving our mailings please contact us on 020 7470 8755 or email us at hello@cancersupportuk.org.

Unfortunately as a small charity, we have to focus only on the areas where we believe we can make the most impact. This means that at the moment we are unable to provide financial grants. For more information about financial support and advice, the following websites may be of use:
